BE POSITIVE AND HAVE FAITH
Our modern sciences continue to reveal the truth and value of God’s words. Modern sciences make reference to the value of having faith in God and the positive results achieved through prayer. In our Fellowship, we hear of daily testimonies about the healing and recovery powers available for those brethren who trust in God. The rules of good health are also the rules of life… if we observe life principles then we live life to the fullest. Do you want good health and lasting life? Then follow the best advice on the planet.
Many assume that happiness and joy are the natural states of mind if negatives are absent, but that is not the case. Joy and happiness, like sadness and negativity, are the product of the attitude we have towards the collective outcome of our daily routine. A person without the Holy Spirit, rather a person not let of the Spirit is incapable of maintaining a lasting good attitude… because the knowledge of God is the void which is missing in the lives of most people. God made us and built within us the need to be at peace with him.
The Bible identified the value of prayer and joy thousands of years before science ‘discovered’ it.
Proverbs 15:13 – A merry heart makes a cheerful countenance but by sorrow of the heart, the spirit is broken. The ‘heart’ is simply our attitude of mind towards any given situation …and life in general.
Proverbs 15:15 – All the days of the afflicted are evil, but he who is of a merry heart has a continual feast. A happy positive attitude towards God will bring about favourable results.
Proverbs 17:22 – A merry heart does good, like a medicine (cure, healing): but a broken spirit (wounded mind) dries the bones. Your faith in God will bring healing to your heart.
Jesus reveals that the attitude of the individual …is the secret to blessing.
Personal needs…
Matthew 9:28 And when he has come into the house, the blind men came to him: and Jesus said unto them, “Do you believe you that I am able to do this?” They said unto him, “Yea, Lord.” Vs.29 Then He touched their eyes, saying, “According to your faith let it be to you.” Sometimes we can stop believing. God can heal us and reopen our eyes to the only true vision. Activated faith is the most powerful force you can ever operate.
Family needs…
Matthew 15:28 – Then Jesus answered and said to her, “O woman, great is your faith!
Let it be to you as you desire.” And her daughter was healed from that very hour.
Friends in need…
Matthew 8:13 – Then Jesus said to the centurion, “Go your way; and as you have believed, so let it be done for you.” And his servant was healed that same hour.
None of the above people had the Holy Spirit, but due to a positive faith towards God, they all saw their needs met. How much better are you positioned?
Believing (faith) in the promises of God brings about its own rewards.
Hebrews 11:6 – But without faith it is impossible to please Him, for he who comes to God must believe that He is and that He is a rewarder of them who diligently seek Him. This is God answering faith believes that He is… and that He is a rewarder of them that diligently seek Him.
A positive hope in God is the answer.
Psalm 33:12 – Blessed is the nation whose God is the Lord. The people He has chosen as His own inheritance.
Vs.13 The Lord looks from heaven; He sees all the sons of men.
Vs.14 From the place of His dwelling, He looks on all the inhabitants of the earth;
Vs.15 He fashions their hearts individually; He considers all their works.
Vs.16 No king is saved by the multitude of an army; a mighty man is not delivered by great strength.
Vs.17 A horse is a vain hope for safety; neither shall it deliver any by its great strength.
Vs.18 Behold, the eye of the Lord is on those who fear Him. On those who hope in His mercy.
Vs.19 To deliver their soul from death, And to keep them alive in famine.
Vs.20 Our soul waits for the Lord; He is our help and our shield.
Vs.21 For our heart shall rejoice in Him because we have trusted in His holy name.
Vs.22 Let your mercy, o Lord, be upon us, just as we hope in you.
There are unlimited topics and discoveries to be made in the Lord and every one of them brings its own blessings. However, our worship and fellowship in the Spirit towards God must be simple and faithful.
Be positive and have faith and He will respond.
